Race Ways |
We offer Race Ways For Under Ground Cables.
Raceways, in shape are like ordinary Cable trays with 15 mm inside lips, and are used for laying underground cables. These are without center perforation. Cover is an essential part of Raceways. It may be an plain or a bended one, as per the requirement of the client. Bended one is a bit costlier then the plain one. Generally plain cover is provided, unless, Bended one is demanded. The cover is screwed at several places with the inside 15 mm lip. It may be fabricated from 2 mm or 3 mm M.S sheet.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
NEC (NATIONAL ELECTRIC CODE) and NEMA (NATIONAL ELECTRIC MANUFACTURERS ASSOCIATION) have set certain standards for Race Ways. As per their standards, these should be fabricated from 2 mm M.S sheet, confirming to IS: 226/1975 and if these are galvanized, Galvanizing should confirm to IS: 2629. The painted Race Ways should be given one coat of Red Oxide Primer followed by two coats of Epoxy Paint.
We follow these standards in all respect, except in paint. We use Synthetic Enamel Paints confirming to IS:3537 or IS:168 . However, Red Oxide Primer and Epoxy paint may be provided on specific demand, as it is a very costly paint.
EXPANSION COUPLER PLATES/JOINTING STRIPS.
These are used to join two Race Ways. The size of coupler plate is 100 mm x 210 mm and that of the jointing strip 38 mm x 150 mm. It depends on the height of edge of a Race Ways whether coupler plate is needed or a jointing strip. These are supplied on specific demand and it is not necessary to supply these along with the Race Ways, without any demand.
EARTHING OF RACE WAYS
Each length of Race Ways should be earthed at least at two places by G.I FLAT of minimum 25x3 mm , to main earthing systems.
EARTHING MATERIAL FOR RACE WAYS, such as Earthing Plates, Strips, Wire, Charcoal, Salt, GI Funnel, Chamber Cover, GI Pipe and Perforated Pipe, Tin Plates and Strips, Junction Boxes available with us.
